Cat Berry has been working with birthing parents since 2016. Having lived experience of recovering from PTSD after a traumatic birth and injury, she is passionate about the importance of supporting both the physical and mental well-being of mums on their parenting journey. Her particular focus is helping parents to cope with the day-to-day challenges of trauma recovery, using body and mind compassion-based practice, self-soothing techniques and exercises to calm the nervous system.
As well as offering TBR 3 Step Rewind for Trauma, Cat is also a fully qualified EFT Tapping Practitioner (EFTi2 Accredited, TOOT1) and trained in Somatic Trauma Therapy (Babette Rothschild) and Trauma Release Exercise (Certified TRE Practitioner). She also runs Juno Perinatal Mental Health Support Edinburgh, facilitating peer support groups for mums and mums-to-be and informs the NHS and Scottish Government on best practice in perinatal care as a lived experience ambassador.
